SPIDER MAGIC

In coverage, this is essentially a junior version of Patent's The Lives of Spiders (1981). With magnified photos supplementing each page of text, it begins with general information on spider bodies, senses, way of eating, and way of growing; then we have a survey of ten common spiders, including the orb web spider with its beautiful web, the wolf spider shown covered with newly-hatched young, the black widow (deadly), and the tarantula (not). The presentation is clear and efficient, the photos sure to impress.
