INDIANS: Hunters of the Plains; ESKIMOS: Hunters of the Arctic by Dorothy Judd Sickels

INDIANS: Hunters of the Plains; ESKIMOS: Hunters of the Arctic

Publisher: Garden City

Factual content, thinly velled as fiction, and better used as non-fiction. Through the story of an Indian lad and his sister, of the Blackfoot tribe, one sees the life and games and activities of Indian children. Possibly the greater familiarity with Indian background material gives to that book more sense of a rounded picture than this. One could wish that the story element had been sacrificed a trifle to more emphasis on authentic detail. However, this too serves as a good introductory book on the Eskimo way of life.
