Ninth in the series of popular dog stories, this tale about a little Dalmatian puppy who wanted to be a firehouse dog like his mother, is appealing and should have an eager market. Little Spot wanders to the city to join the staff of a firehouse, but the city is strange, and as his friends Toughy the airdale and Mr. Mactavey, the Scottish Terrier warn him, there is a horrid, mean cat living in the firehouse, too. But Little Spot rescues the cat from fire and is made a real fire house dog.
