BILLY THE BARBER

With amusing pictures in 2 colors by William Pene Du Bois here's a small story in successive episodes as a popular barber, on his final day before retirement, serves his long-standing customers with their various specifications that only he can fill. How the customers get together to persuade him that there is another answer to retirement- and how one small boy decides that having a haircut isn't a catastrophe after all makes an entertaining kind of cautionary tale, particularly for very small boys.
