Fairish story which somehow lacks conviction. A group of school girls in a small town decide to organize a mounted scout troop. This is the account of how those who had no horses of their own managed to acquire them, and especially the story of one girl, brought up on a farm, who tamed and trained a horse run wild. The hope of owning a pony of a horse is in every normal child's imagination, so this will be popular as a fulfillment of that dream. The lessons in self control, patience, and democracy are fairly unobtrusive.
