KIRKUS REVIEW

A sudden summer shower, the fury of a wind-lashed branch, noisy torrents of rain on the window, and then a rainbow. These are the ingredients of magic to the young imagination, and it is these ingredients which Dorothy Marino's simple story and illustrations have captured here. In fact there is not really a story here at all, just the momentary adventure of a summer thunder shower and the wonderful aftermath of refreshment which follows, pleasantly, effectively depicted.
