AN ANGEL IN THE WOODS

A little Christmas candle angel finds on her shoulders the responsibility of bringing the message of Christmas to the woodland creatures- most of whom had apparently no conception that on Christmas Eve they could be free from fear. Her little owner sets her out on the window lodge that the animals may have a Christmas angel of their own, and she flies down to hearten them and creates for them a miraculous woodland Christmas Eve. Tender somewhat sentimental little story- but the Christmas spirit and Dorothy Lathrop's exquisite pictures of small creatures (35 of them) more than justify it. A special Christmas item.
