CURIOSER AND CURIOSER by Dorothy Rice Sims

CURIOSER AND CURIOSER

Pub Date: Nov. 12th, 1940
Publisher: Simon & Schuster

Report on a very individual career, in the ""bright young things"" school. Dorothy Sims is the wife of Hal Sims of bridge fame. She comes from an unusual family, writes of how they lived at home and abroad, in hotels and houses, with independence stressed for every member of the family. Dorothy's own interests compassed skating and sculpture; her painting under Zuloaga in Spain led to her first marriage. Then aviation -- a second marriage -- and the bridge mania -- writing of fiction and plays -- house-hunting and furnishing -- problems peculiar to their bridge career -- it all adds up to an entertaining and rather unusual book, though in no way important.
