KIRKUS REVIEW

A dual hunt for a killer is the setting for the search that Father Duffy and Lt. Holden make, as one gets the confession from the killer and the other proceeds according to schedule when a call-girl is found killed by her cleaning woman. The Father, to whom a life has been confided, is constrained to check past history; the police double-check the present; the two converge over the long, unhappy way to murder. Conscientious crimechase.
