KIRKUS REVIEW

Any parent who presents this to a child must be prepared to buy a pup, if his child does not own a dog, for these excellent photographs of Sophie and her brood of puppies capture all that is irresistible and spell binding in a lively litter. The text records the story of Sophie, and delivered, and follows the careers of her sons and daughters. The simple and understated manner in which the birth of the puppies in reported in entirely praiseworthy and should be most helpful when the matter of animal birth in first brought to the child's attention.
