HOW THE BABY HIPPO FOUND A HOME

A favorite since its publication in original large format back in 1942- and welcome in this moderate priced edition. (Hi-Po the Hippo -- remember?). An amusing story with very attractive lithographs by Ruth Gannett, in the story of a hippo who didn't want his comfortable home disturbed by a baby hippo- and of how it was taken out of his hands when a baby hippo was left on the doorstep. Foolishness that's fun -- especially if your child knows he's wanted. Format similar to others in series.
