THE WITNESS

Dial 911 and the chances are you'll get no one as nice or efficient as Christie Opara of the D.A.'s Special Investigation Squad, now hired to tail her superior's daughter, Barbara. Barbara engages in a protest demonstration at which a young, moderate civil rights leader is killed -- and she thinks a policeman fired the shot, Christie was there and knows otherwise and from then, on is determined to get a member of the Secret Nation, a very ugly militant group. Once again this girl is sent to do a man's job (without getting the credit) and the procedural dragnet will retain vigilant command of your attention.
