OUR AMERICAN BABIES by Dorothy V. Whipple

OUR AMERICAN BABIES

By

Publisher: Barrows

This follows the Gesell, Aldrich pattern (though does not itself probe the psychological factors) and -- with a sound and nice point of view, offers level-low-cos advice on having and bringing up a baby. Clothes and equipment, feeding, sleep, bathing, play, daily routine, and a closing section on illness and disease (before the doctor comes -- and after) -- all in all a good overall for the young mother. Occassionally one feels that Dr. Whipple is talking down. The book is definitely slanted for a popular and not too well-informed market.
