The story of Nora who marries a sober, penniless young doctor to find long, empty hours, Gil's reliance on his ubiquitous office nurse instead of her, his intolerance of her well-meaning blunders, heading them both in opposite directions. But as she looks around her she sees that Gil's uncompromising path, avoiding fee splitting, social surgery, and so forth compensates for her personal go-by and she picks up the pieces toward a fresh start. Readable and rentable enough, but not outstanding in any way.
