KIRKUS REVIEW

Humor for small children is not easy to find, and this really has a basic idea of humor in a simple, rather patterned story of a little boy who was determined to make a new small neighbor smile, and of the unsuccessful efforts he made -- only to get what he wanted when he gave up trying. The pictures have a comic strip quality which may endear them to some.
