WINGS FOR WORDS

By

Publisher: Rand, McNally

A famous authority on the art and history of printing tells the story of the first real printer, Johann Gutenberg. It is an exciting story, with plenty of background of the period and the conflicting forces which made the invention of printing imperative -- and correspondingly difficult. A good biography -- a good history, and a book that is told in such a way that it is should interest boys and girls from ten on up. The woodblock type of illustration by Edward A. Wilson is thoroughly in keeping with the text.
