KIRKUS REVIEW

All ages, from twelve up, should like this well-paced story of an engineering achievement of which we may well be proud. There's good factual content, regarding the problems of the highway project, and the processes by which they were surmounted. There's a good sense of the adventure, the drama the heartache; there's an inspirational quality that stirs one emotionally; there's a feel of the story and the personalities that made the dream come true.
