KIRKUS REVIEW

There's a bit of fact and a great deal of fancy in this story which blends the St. Nicholas and the Santa Claus story. It is told by an adult as told to him by the chimney of a many-ohimnied house. It seems to us a bit far-fetched and too indirect to carry over for the child reading it himself. Hence the inclusion under this head.
