A knowledgeable coverage of the crash circuits of Europe, this follows Gerry Clinton, a young English sports car driver, as he catapults- unhurt- into the water at Monaco, is held responsible (unjustly) for the many spectator casualties which result from an accident at Dichtenburg, and is again jinxed when he wins-but is disqualified- in the British Grand Prix. To these tensions are added the doubts of his recently acquired wife, Anna, as anonymous letters expose a marriage she has never revealed and suggest her complicity in the death of her husband. So that the establishment of Anna's innocence, and his own in the inquiry at Dichtenburg, also attend the last breakneck runs at Le Mans, in an unreliable car, and later in Italy to save his wife.... Exclusively for suspense, but it streaks.
