However the material here is based on the patterns of both normal and special children, physical as well as behavioral; they trace the expected developmental paradigms at various ages and stages, outline physical types and sex differentiations with the calculable activities and skills which can be determined. There is a chapter on teachers (training, qualifications, etc.), on the school (plant, program, equipment), and on handling the child from the day he first starts to attend school. A full bibliography on preschool and nursery school books and pamphlets. Although intended for both, teachers rather than parents seem the likelier designation.
