GUIDANCE NURSERY SCHOOL

This explicit ""Manual for Teachers & Parents"" is based on the longstanding experience acquired through this laboratory school established in the 1920's to enable the ""atypical child"" to develop at his own rate. However the material here is based on the patterns of both normal and special children, physical as well as behavioral; they trace the expected developmental paradigms at various ages and stages, outline physical types and sex differentiations with the calculable activities and skills which can be determined. There is a chapter on teachers (training, qualifications, etc.), on the school (plant, program, equipment), and on handling the child from the day he first starts to attend school. A full bibliography on preschool and nursery school books and pamphlets. Although intended for both, teachers rather than parents seem the likelier designation.
