TO WIN A HEART WITH WORDS

I am inventing a way of speaking to you with my typewriter."" This is the first line of this book on communicating and our Smith-Corona Just Jammed. Although Dr. Sondel was looking at us as a ""personality,"" ""as a character...a human being in transit,"" we were looking at her book in transit--rapid--and found that it was about personality types (ecto, endo, and mesomorphs) and words (informative, valuative, designative, INCITIVE) and learning to apply them in conversation, selling, speaking. Much of this is trussed up with some pretty fancy concepts (cybernetics, philosophy, psychology--cf. bibliography) and one we really absorbed: ""Operation feedback...a corrective measure that you may use to counteract unfavorable consequences of your own words."" But somehow she didn't make it work.
