Young people familiar with this book's predecessor, Cheaper by the Dozen, in book or movie version, will love this one. This time the children establish themselves in Nantucket while Mother salls off for Europe to take Father's place. (The last book closed with Father's death). In Nantucket the girls acquire beaux and run the house. Back to Mont and the madhouse demands of Mother's school, Mother's nose operation, a ""sport"" of collecting fertilizer for the vegetable garden, Mother's joining the Girl Scouts. There are marriages, a clan baptism, beaux and lextures by the brothers on how to become a stagline favorite for the youngest girl. A gay family book with the comic spirit -- especially for girls.
