Manfred Curry's name and fame are sufficient to put seal of approval on this book which is much too specialized and too technical for anyone not properly familiar with the subject to appraise. Hence this is simply an announcement that the book is to be published; that the text falls into two main parts, -- I- Aerodynamics of Sails -- recognizably an increasingly important factor in racing; II- Racing Tactics, which takes up virtually every contingency, as well as following point by point the tactics involved.
