CHEROKEE OUTLET

A Western in the old tradition of fast shooting and fast riding. The period is 1893; the occasion the opening to homesteaders of the Cherokee Strip in Kansas, the last of the free lands. But with this- as happened in Oklahoma- madness turned the opening into an orgy, gangs descended upon the ignorant and the well-meaning, law and order were unknown and life was cheap. The story revolves around a one time cattleman who thinks he wants no part of homesteading, but becomes involved through working for a wagon freight outfit. When the story ends, there are an undue number of dead men- but law seems to be in the making, and romance in the wind.
