KIRKUS REVIEW

The story of Kongo from his birth to the day he replaces his father as king of the herd. Elementary facts about the life habits of elephants are given and, in spite of the familiarity of the theme, there are few dull moments. The treatment is dignified and the pictures are rich in color and quite detailed.
