KIRKUS REVIEW

An important book for aviation shelf, for the concentration is on a facet of flying usually subordinated to the more familiar phases. Germany has demonstrated the soundness of their use of gliders, and that should result in expanding this form of apart (now existing in small groups the country over) to a serious part of the preparation of youth for flying. Here is a book presenting not only the historical background and recent developments, but giving also a general coverage of types, construction and design, with an appendix of regulations, manufacturers, etc.
