KIERKEGAARD: HIS LIFE AND THOUGHT

By

Publisher: Harper

Perhaps you've had calls for books on the theology of crisis, or the books of Karl Barth or that remarkably fine book of Brunner's The Mediator -- published last year. If you have, try to contact those customers for here is the philosophy of the man who seems definitely responsible for this school of thought, which so swept this country and the continent several years ago. The Presbyterians have been particularly interested, although all the modern thinkers of Protestant denominations and the Anglo-Catholics as well, have been studying it carefully. Kierkegaard wrote in Danish and his writings have just been translated into French and German. This is the first English translation to appear and should have a good sale to clery and students, as it is a valuable sourcebook. Libraries should have it, too.
