The third in the series, and the one that is likely to reap the largest harvest in this country, due to the background, and to the fact that Miss Delafield visited the larger cities of the east and middle west during her stay here last November and December... Very entertaining reading, this cryptic account of her days in New York, Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Buffalo, Boston, Washington and Philadelphia, written with tongue in cheek, with dry wit, and with keen observation. In no sense a ""travel diary"" -- but essentially human, personal and refreshingly casual. See ourselves as others see us -- but with no malice. A readymade market for this in the devoteds of the earlier books -- and a new market in those who missed the rare charm of the others, but who will ""get"" the more direct attack in this.
