The name of E. Stanley Jones, world famous missionary and evangelist, has been long familiar to large numbers of Protestant Christians. They look forward to his publishing a new devotional book about every two years. In this most recent volume his theme is the achievement of maturity of character. Although he quotes freely from modern psychological books devoted to the same subject, he emphasizes that man's starting point is Christ, in whom may be found the perfect example of mature life, and whose life is the only proper measure of man's. Each of the 364 devotions begins with a scripture reading followed by a meditation, a short prayer, and an affirmation. It would be useful for group study as well as personal devotions, for there is a topical index included.
