THE CASE OF THE BASHFUL BANK ROBBER

The McGurk Detective Organization lucks out again, when the kids' training exercises in observation coincide with a migration of bank robbers to the suburbs. When McGurk reads in his local paper that the city's special police force might be driving the robbers ""this way,"" the training sessions are shifted to a local bank. And despite some embarrassing encounters with the bank president, the local police, a real crook masquerading as a reporter, and a likely suspect who proves to be the new junior high school principal, the kids' help proves crucial when an actual robbery does occur. What's more, with Willie ""the Nose"" Sandowsky's smell-prints among the clues submitted, the FBI man assigned to the case is impressed by the young detectives' individual talents and overall organization.
