KIRKUS REVIEW

Introductory material contains a chatty discussion on old engines, the history of models, railroad lore and railroad hobbies (special fields for enthusiasts and types of clubs). Then come factual how-to-do chapters on building a model railroad. This is a specialized book, with material aplenty for the ""loco about locos."" A bit of investigation through your local railroad people will reveal the fact that everywhere men -- even more than boys -- have taken up the hobby of model railroads. There is a thriving club in the Grand Central Station. See if you have one too.
