SUPERCARGO

Not tops -- but a holding yarn of the sea, told with good suspense and conviction. The year is 1869 -- the scene is South America. A young American visiting various ports on business takes passage on a small cargo ship manned by a Spanish captain and a Chinese crew. There is mutiny -- the American survives a massacre of the whites -- there is a storm at sea, a mad crew, eventual escape into Siberia. The actual facts are true -- the story built around them is good entertainment for the Bounty audience.
