ANGELO GOES TO THE CARNIVAL by Earle Goodenow

ANGELO GOES TO THE CARNIVAL

By

Publisher: Knopf

Here's another of Mr. Goodenow's sublime fantasies (see Cow Concert and Cow Voyage), about an Italian sea coast town- and its off shore life. Angelo, a little boy who sings beautifully, wants a costume for the carnival. There seems to be no hope of getting one until he is shipwrecked one day, taken by the fish to a grotto and so charms them with his singing that they give him a treasure chest.
