ROOM TO SWING

Toussaint Moore, a Negro private investigator, finds himself framed like a picture when the man he is hired to shadow-for a television show- is murdered and he is the only and therefore likeliest suspect. A search through a small town, near the Kentucky border where prejudice is an ugly menace, gives him a lead, and finally back in New York- with hesitant collaboration with the woman who had set up the story- he is able to clear himself....The black and white question, which is a driving, unforgiving issue, makes this a very earnest sort of skin game and sharpens the interest.
