HELPING PEOPLE FIND JOBS

An excellent guide for anyone interested in establishing or operating a placement service in schools, colleges, private or public employment fields. The authors (one a Columbia Professor, the other employment manager of N.Y. state employment service) have done a thorough job of analyzing the problems confronting the individual searching for a job and the employer with jobs to be filled. They show how to help on both sides, thus serving a double purpose. They explain the various laws relating to employment agencies in different parts of the country. But chiefly they present a comprehensive manual on employment techniques and services for employment counsellors, personnel departments in industry, individuals in search of employment. A helpful handbook.
