RED STAR OVER CHINA

A valuable contribution to better understanding of the situation in the Far East, not specifically as concerned with the war between China and Japan, but with the inner situation in China. Too little fact has come out of China regarding the control from Moscow. Now, at last, an honest and able reporter has made his way into the inner reaches of Communistic China and this is his report. To a large extent, he has given it personal color and flavor through his pictures of the leaders of the movement, and through them, of the aims and ideals. His own personal experiences are secondary; his impressions sympathetic and reportorial, rather than intepretative or critical. At times his method seems a bit artificial, but the result is a fairly rounded conception of what has happened and what is happening, a hope that Soviet China is a constructive force for good. An important book for anyone interested in the Far East, of course for anyone concerned in the spread of Communism. Essential for public libraries and college libraries.
