FIGHTING MUSKETS

Miss Sherman knows her history -- and for that reason Fighting Muskets is a sound contribution to the background of the American Revolution and the troubled days when household was split against household, and New Jersey was the battleground. The story and the setting ring true. Matt, a younger son, chafes at his inactivity, but manages to get into plenty of action. The style suggests amateurishness.
