Elizabeth, a widow, is unable to do anything about the muffled plea of a young girl in a passing car, later found raped and dead. But she is the instrument used by the local police to get a bead on her killer -- a psychopath -- who can now only too easily identify her as she makes those dangerous trips back and forth to the school where she teaches. Likable small-town stuff for the ladies and worth at least one bitten fingernail.
