SST: Plane of Tomorrow

In a photo-essay that might be a flyer for the aircraft industry, Mr. Jacobs describes the design and construction of the SST and its engine, considers briefly the need for changing the present air traffic system (improving navigational equipment, enlarging airport facilities) brushes off the current problem of cost (as good for the economy), the future problem of sonic boom (as unlikely to materialize significantly). The foreword, chauvinistic boasting by the general in charge of the program, and the self-satisfied tone throughout will irritate many adults, but the detailed information is sure to interest kids and there's nothing more judicious available.
