Illustrated in red and black lithographs by the author's husband, Clement Hurd. This can stand alongside their Annie Voran and Engine No. 9. She has done The Wreck of the Wild Wave, see page 417, but this will probably be their last job together for some time as Mr. Hurd is doing camouflage work. They are a talented young couple, we wish them well. The Chief did not think Speedy very important until the terrible fire of the old wooden hotel. Boys love every detail about the Fire Department, so this should have a ready sale.
