TOUGHY AND HIS TRAILER TRUCK

I like some of this so much that I'm sorry to have to be lukewarm about it. The details about a trailer truck, from the loading of the box and attaching the trailer on, will fascinate small boys with their thousand and one questions about trucks. All ages will find the story of Toughy and the skills needed to bring his great truck safely across the mountain to the big city revealing and interesting. But the style- prose shifting into third rate rhyme- and the pictures, which, while accurate on details are ugly, particularly when it comes to human figures-make the book a yes-and-no book.
