Quite a rummage around in the SEP files fills this building bundle of stories, articles, poems, illustrations (only serials are bypassed) and there are plenty of eye-catching entries. From Benjamin Franklin's own writings, through Poe and Crane, to Owen Johnson, London, Wharton, Kelland, Marquand, Forester, Wolfe, Kersh -- you can sample the changing scene; Tutt and Mr. Tutt, Tugboat Annie, Ma Egg, Mr. Glencannon, Father Brown, Little Orvie frolic again; Millay, Noyes, Nash, McGinley, Riley, Coffin, and others take care of the poetry; there is a balancing reportage on personalities and events in the non-fiction. All in all 36 stories, 25 articles, 12 poems, which should be an elegant sufficiency for anyone, and to this is added 32 pages in full color of SEP covers along with 99 line drawings adapted from SEP illustrations. (Double columning of the text keeps this from too geat a physical obesity). Well, it's quite a deal for the commemorative market.
