STRANGERS IN THE VLY

A haunted and haunting legend of the Catskills, quite different from Gilligan's previous work, save for a brief passage in White Sails Crowding. The story of Captain John, coachman traveler, and his companions, dwarfs of malignant appearance and reputation, who were hiding away after their assassination of an Emperor at the French . The innkeeper receives them hospitably, and -- after a time -- they disappear, and a succession of benevolent changes occur. A wei tale, with a certain cer charm.
