TENSION CONTROL FOR BUSINESSMEN by Edmund Jacobson

TENSION CONTROL FOR BUSINESSMEN

By

Publisher: McGraw-Hill

A promissory note for the businessman who wants to function more effectively with less attrition, this presents in the main a pitch and a prescription rather than a practicable work-out. Perhaps this is because of the nature of the advice--to ""go negative"" to relax, to use tension effectively, concentratedly and undistractedly. Tension in this case means the contraction of muscle fibers in effort of accomplishment; relaxation is its opposite--the lengthening of muscle fibers as one discontinues each effort. The learn to relax theme is applied to fatigue, anxiety, ulcer, heart attacks and high blood pressure. The author of How to Relax and Have your Baby here applies diagnosis without treatment, for which it would seem one has to appear in person at his lab. The directive to ""go negative"" is about as positive as he gets. Perhaps the illustrations, not seen here, will remedy this.
