KIRKUS REVIEW

Another appearance of detective Piron (who may be better liked in England than over here) flat-footing the murder of an antique dealer with some ramifications: forged pound notes? a gambling club? although they're harder to retain than the egregiously idiosyncratic characters and the ""argy-bargy"" ""fiddlyfid"" idiom which runs interference, or the jocularity which may not make ""Mirthful mayhem a must.
