KIRKUS REVIEW

There is humor and pathos, fish and game, and a pair of old woodsmen that will entertain any sportsman in Smith's new book. Breath In The Afternoon will bring a sympathetic smile to many faces. The Diary of Death will delight all practical jokers, and Angler Bowers tells of an experience familiar to all. Illustrated by Alden Lassell Replay, that versatile young artist whose one-man shown each fall in New York are sellouts at the preview. The book, bound in cloth and gold, similar to its predecessor, Can Chronicle, is very effective.
