ICE PALACE

Alaska is the real heroine here -- where Chris Storm is brought up and enmeshed by the rivalries and bonds between her two grandfathers. Thor Storm, the grandfather who had come seeking frontier freedom, sought to maintain it through the weekly he published. The other grandfather, ""Czar"" Kennedy, was High Mogul, big time operator who had made his millions by collaborating with interests in San Francisco and Washington and Seattle who used Alaska for their own ends. This is a close-up portrait of Alaska and the duel for control of Chris by the men who loved her.
