A DOLL'S FAMILY ALBUM

This is included under ""read aloud"" books because the text matter, describing each doll, is meant to be shared by grown-up with the child who is interested in the photographs of the collection of dolls of all nations and all periods and all types. The author collects dolls, old and new. She starts with the Shirley Temple doll, and she goes through her collection, picking representative dolls from each group. The foreign dolls and the historical dolls are interesting, and have an educational value. The others may give a popular tag to the book, but lower its standard.
