In simple phraseology the author writes of primitive beliefs -- from the early worship of multiple gods to a brief chapter on the life of Christ. The influence of the Egyptians on the Hebrews is clearly illustrated by comparative passages from religious texts. The emphasis throughout is on the Jewish faith in their God, Yahweh, or Jenovah. Supplementing each chapter is a list of things to do -- making a book on Egypt, suggested reading, ideas to ponder on, etc. I imagine that children will only dip into this one at a parent's or teacher's persuasion.
