KIRKUS REVIEW

An enchanting little story in a brief book, delightfully illustrated by Marjorie Peters. Zickle was a ""poor white"" and lived in a ramshackle cabin. This story makes him a very real small boy, trying hard to be good for a whole week, and failing miserably. But he gets to the County Fair -- on a fluke.
